What is it like working at Capitec Bank?

Hell.

My Time At Capitec Bank.
Sales and Service Consultant:
Pros: I had the rare opportunity of working in various divisions. This made my years at the bank diverse and interesting. For that I salute the company for being flexible enough to allow me to have worked with such diverse teams who are all committed in different ways to meeting company objectives.
Cons: Working for Capitec Bank means you will devote, at times unwillingly, a huge amount of your personal time, as the bank prides itself in operating everyday of the week, and the working hours can be quite extreme, as typically one arrives at work as early as 7 in the morning and can expect to leave no earlier than 5PM. This often interferes with one quality of relationship with friends and family - often causing strain in those relationships. Added to this, Capitec Bank refuses to compensate overtime for cash, and has a time back principle of compensating for overtime worked, meaning that at the end of the day, the workers will bare the cost of the employee who is on time-off as that person's workload will be carried by the staff who are on duty. Here Capitec acts unfairly to its employees.
