Technical Support Analyst Reviews
What is it like working as a Technical Support Analyst?
January 2019
Technician Hybrid.
Technical Support Analyst in Phoenix:
Pros: If I take a car, or bus my commute between work and home isn't bad.
Cons: At times you wish you didn't smell the person on the other end of the bus.
December 2018
In the Door but Not Out Of The Woods.
Technical Support Analyst in Kansas City:
Pros: The culture is great and plenty of leeway is offered.
Cons: Perpetually insufficient staffing and systemic problem resolution is slow to act, if at all.
November 2018
Technical Support Analyst:
Great place to work. Great benefits and competitive salary. The management teams listen to the employees and take our suggestions. Many opportunities for learning. There are support staff for any special needs you may have.
February 2018
Masters graduate in a specialist role.
Technical Support Analyst in Cape Town:
Pros: The exposure to different citylife, formal and informal.
October 2017
Lae Life.
Technical Support Analyst in Lae:
Pros: The cost of living especially accommodation and the markets with fresh fruits and vegetables.
Cons: Not much to do in terms of family recreational places to go for swimming or picnics.
March 2017
Technical remote support on tier 1/2.
Technical Support Analyst in São Paulo:
Pros: To perform configurations remotely on servers and switches or other networking equipment, which I personally enjoy and it's an opportunity to improve my networking skills by understanding how network equipments work. I have a good relationship with my work mates and it's quite easy to deal with them, even with my supervisor.
Cons: Sometimes too much burocracy, I feel sometimes like if my job was "not really solving the issue" but "act like if it was solved", and then in a couple of times escalate to 3rd level that delays too much to provide a solution and we can't do nothing as we don't have access to their tools, I would like to work as Field Technician to really solve things and not escalating, to use my ideas effectively and, of course, work directly with hardware and the best part, be face to face to the customer.
January 2017
Technical Support Analyst in Beltsville:
Reactive technical support is an interesting job to do, but is driven by constantly fixing problems and proactive tasks are rarer than you may like. Working for an OEM is much better than general dsk side support.
