Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Reviews
What is it like working as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)?
May 2023
Excellent People, Subpar Pay.
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in Roswell:
Pros: My manager and colleagues
Cons: Pay is below average, with supplementation by "benefits" like the concierge service which is only useful if you live close to the facility and work day shift. All in all, I'd rather have the pay than the "perks" which don't do much for night shifters.
April 2023
Autonomy.
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in St. Louis:
Pros: We have respect from other healthcare personnel, we use evidence based guidelines and protocols that helps with shortened LOS with patients
Cons: With autonomy being in place, some decisions are bias
February 2023
Overworked and underpaid.
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in Johnstown:
Pros: Taking the best care I can of the patients
Cons: Lack of quality care . Low pay for the responsibility I have and work conditions with not enough staff. Experienced staff leaving for much better pay and less critical patient care
December 2022
Great place to start.
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in Medford:
Pros: The people I work with
Cons: Not getting to practice within my scope. A nurses hospital. No one really knows what to do with RT
March 2022
I feel undervalued and under appreciated.
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in Port Orange:
Pros: I love helping others and find great reward in positive feedback from my patients
Cons: I feel underpaid and undervalued
December 2021
Love it.
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in Phoenix:
Pros: I use my brain to take care of my patients the way that I want someone to take care of me.
Cons: As respiratory therapist we are always to respond to any emergencies in the hospital and never got recognized .
July 2021
It's stressful and we're don't usually work with enough staff to cover the patient loads safely.
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in Clarksville:
Pros: Feels like family, we have since great teams.
Cons: Because it's for profit, I feel taken advantage of, passed over for opportunity, and not compensated fairly for my knowledge and proficiency in all that I do to help then stay profitable.
