HCA, Inc. Reviews

What is it like working at HCA, Inc.?

Charge Nurse (RN) in Niceville:
Great support from other supervisors and from Nursing Admin. Been the most enjoyable place I’ve worked. Benefits are good, work life balance is important here as (pre-Covid) family is included in many hospital activities. The facility I work in is smaller so you know many faces personally. All units work together to do what’s best for patients and families. The physician staff is the best!! We have an administrator who walks the units daily and actually asks staff opinions on various topics. He’s a jolly old soul!! Great place to be employed!!
Very fast pace, and very busy. However, thats the way I like it.
Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist in Goose Creek:
Pros: 8 % match of 401k
Cons: As years of service rise, payscale seems to fall behind. Tempted to depart for more money. I did this move once already, but remained employed in a PRN capacity. Worked for another company got paid more, stayed with HCA at the same time, full time positioned opened back up and I negotiated my return.
Safe and boring.
Senior Web Developer in Coppell:
Pros: Good co-workers
Cons: There’s little chance to learn at work or get a promotion past senior developer
Endo tech used, compensation limited.
Endoscopy Technician in Round Rock:
Pros: Caring for patients

Slow at times not enough to keep everyone busy all the time.
Maintenance Mechanic in Richmond:
Pros: The nurses I interact with
Cons: The lack of ability to let someone excel without education even if you can do the job
Workinf gor a company that outsources work overseas and costs employees jobs.

Cons: Losing work to overseas workers
Doing a job I love but desperately underpaid.
Patient Care Assistant (PCA) in London:

Cons: My lack of value to my employer
