Fresenius Medical Care North America Reviews
What is it like working at Fresenius Medical Care North America?
Acute Dialysis RN great job for the independent and flexible RN.
Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) in Allentown:
Pros: Autonomy. Learning opportunities. Pro-RN environment. FMC has progressive sustainability goals. Interesting. Great if you like to go to multiple locations and if you are comfortable working alone.
Cons: Pay scale. Random hours. At times there are no hours. Call.
Patients make you stay- Management makes you want to leave.
Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) in Dora:
Pros: One of the few fields of nursing that allow you to develop long term relationships with your patients
Cons: Ineffective communication between staff and management. Upper management dismiss valid complaints with no follow through
Training patients to do their dialysis at home to give some their independence back.
Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) in Oklahoma City:
Pros: Helping patients improve their health to the best of their ability.
Cons: LOW PAY no work life balance.
I feel valuable among my fellow employees and IDT but I don't really feel valued as an employee by the company.
Registered Dietitian in Phoenix:
Pros: I like working with my team members to help patients and flexible schedule. I've stayed because of the flexible schedule as I can help patients anywhere.
Cons: Pay and feeling pressured to promote certain products (i.e. pharmacy) for the company. This is not done at other dialysis companies.
While the job is very rewarding it is also very stressful and most of the time we are not appreciated for the work we do!
Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician in Huntsville:
Pros: The relationships I have with my patients cause they are like my 2nd family!
Cons: Not being appreciated for what we do whether it be physically or financially.
Registered Nurse (RN) in Warsaw:
Pros: I love working with the dialysis patients.
Cons: In a world that is moving towards Quality and not Quantity in healthcare, this company is moving in the opposite direction as fast as possible. Patient care has gone by the wayside and those of us who truly care about the patients are made to feel incompetent and told to "stop caring so much"
I love what I do and all my patients, but I also go above and beyond for my company and don’t feel as if I am paid a fair wage for what all I am responsible for doing.
Certified Hemodialysis Technician in Kewanee:
Pros: I love knowing that I am saving my Patients life one treatment at a time.
Cons: Long hours away from my kids and working more days/hours per week than what I was hired for and feeling underpaid for the amount of heart and sole I put into caring for my Patients and time away from my children
