Woolworths Reviews

What is it like working at Woolworths?

It has it's days...
Liquor Store Manager:
Pros: I love my team and I love my customer's. I like the days where a customer will walk in completely frazzled, not knowing what they want or where to look for until you help them and the leave with a smile on their face and alot lessed stressed. I like the fact that we have alot of freedom to do what we like in our stores and that we are encouraged to feel like "ceo"s of our stores.
Cons: The thing that I would have to say I like the least about working for woolworths is the fact that under neath the "Woolworths" umbrella there are actually a few multiple companys who run almost independent of each othet. Some of these companys at times struggle to meet their own budgets and targets and goals while other do exceddingly well meeting all theirs. So in order to even things iut and not post a company who made a loss woolworths instead pull from the "sister" company's to prop them up while they fail. The "sister" companys then dont show the correct results in turn hurting them as well......
Busy.
Bakery Manager:
Pros: Always busy and always changing.
Cons: Unpaid overtime and appreciation.
People.
Customer Service Manager:
Pros: The amount of people that I come into contact with every week from employees, colleges, customers and company representatives. It is always interesting talking and building relationships with a wide range of people.
Cons: Politics and office gossip, how quickly stories will go around not just the individual store but a whole area.
Hell.
Retail Store Assistant:
Pros: The sight of your bank after pay day.
Cons: The customers, working weekends.
Stressful, Tiring.
Customer Service Cashier:
Pros: When I meet nice friendly customers.
Cons: Rude customers, standing for hours, late tea breaks, underpaid for public holidays.
