Retail Store Assistant Manager Reviews

What is it like working as a Retail Store Assistant Manager?

June 2020
Great company overall.
Retail Store Assistant Manager in Winnipeg:
Pros: My district has a great RSM and overall great management team for all stores. I have many sources of support and can ask questions without feeling like a burden. 50% discount and it’s generally good on my schedule outside work.
Cons: Have my hand held constantly. Not letting a member of management do their own work builds a level of doubt in them self. Communication for changes from head office could be more clear as well.
June 2020
Retail Store Assistant Manager in Roseville:

Cons: The lack of intuitive thinking and bickering from my team mates
May 2020
Depending on your direct supervisor Caseys is indifferent to anyone lower than the Area Supervisor.
Retail Store Assistant Manager in Ellendale:
Pros: Being able to manage my own time.
Cons: No expectations of the employees.
April 2020
Company is failing.
Retail Store Assistant Manager in San Jose:
Pros: flexible schedule
Cons: They add more task for the same pay and even decrease benefits
March 2020
Always on call.
Retail Store Assistant Manager in Pelham:
Pros: You get to work with the public and get to know your regular customers by name.
Cons: Some store managers treat assistant managers like our life revolves around the store and should be on call 24/7. If someone calls out or doesn't show up we are expected to go in or stay even if we have already worked a full shift, so can work an 18 hr shift but can't get overtime so hours are cut other days.
March 2020
Satisfaction at my Job.
Retail Store Assistant Manager in Eden Valley:
Pros: When it's not busy with customers, etc., we can read a book or watch TV.
Cons: I do everything there and some of the employees, mostly the guys, sit around. They say they so things like stock shelves but products are missing on the shelf and they are in stock. They just don't go look for them.
March 2020
Wholesome Hometown.
Retail Store Assistant Manager in Stevens Point:
Pros: Being able to provide a local based business for my community. We keep Postage County's money in Postage County.
Cons: Nothing. Here is safe, pays well, is rich in community and solid in moral s.
