Personal integrity, or sales.
Retail Manager:
Knowing how to trick a person into feeling safe with you to sell to them is only half the battle, the other half is being willing to do it.

Long hours.
Retail Manager:
Expect to work long hours, be accountable for all store outcomes, budget, hiring. It can be really fun and rewarding if you like working with people.

April 2015
Hard work.
Retail Manager:
Pros: Being able to make choices.
Cons: Getting the blame for everything.
March 2015
Fun place; low traffic.
Retail Manager:
Pros: Fun place to work with good coworkers and relaxed environment. A lot of freedom to make the store what you want it to be and let your sales creativity flow.
Cons: Wish there had been a little more training before entering the position--kind of did it blindly and had to feel my way around, since there was no one else who knew the position in depth. Currently not paid near even the low end of Retail Management spectrum.
March 2015
Okay Company to work with.
Retail Manager:
Pros: The team members are like a family.
Cons: But over the years management has tried to break the family apart.
