Restaurant Manager Reviews
What is it like working as a Restaurant Manager?
June 2014
Stress Involved.
Restaurant Manager:
Have a good team. Create loyalty and dedication and do not let people use you. Do not become the 7 day 24 hour on call person. This creates extreme stress in a non-stressful job. It is very rewarding to know you can make someones day with so little effort, if you love what you do. You eat with your eyes first and it is your job to create works of art.

Restaurant Management.
Restaurant Manager:
Pros: I like being able to provide good food and service through training my employees. Customer service is my passion. I work with a very talented staff and I have an awesome boss. I have learned a lot about Japanese cuisine and culture here. Our regular customers are also very kind people and I love it when they walk through the door.
Cons: I don't like how some of the employees are too comfortable and don't strive to improve on the level of service to make our company shine. Being overworked and underpaid drains on my social life. Especially at my age I need to start settling down. The office could use some organization as well.

The Late Hours.
Restaurant Manager:
Find an employer and a boss that you really believe in and who believes in you.

Cons: Closing 5 nights a week.
Closing every Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Feeling undervalued for work and the hours put in.
December 2013
LEADERSHIP.
Restaurant Manager:
Pros: LEADERSHIP, GUEST RELATIONSHIP, STAFF MOTIVATION, PRESSURE, DEADLINES.
Cons: ACCIDENTAL EVENTS.
December 2013
Restaurant stressors.
Restaurant Manager:
Be prepared for the stress of long hours, staff turnovers and dealing with the public. Make sure you try to get sufficient time off, because it is really hard to schedule it.
