Registered Nurse (RN), Critical Care Reviews
What is it like working as a Registered Nurse (RN), Critical Care?
August 2019
Registered Nurse (RN), Critical Care in Houston:
Team is great, but management needs revamping. The new CNO doesn’t seem to have remembered being a floor nurse based on the policies she’s implementing. Pay is lower than average. My fellow nurses are second to none and we are a team. However we are in a staffing crisis, seemingly since I started working there.
August 2019
Registered Nurse (RN), Critical Care in Atlanta:
Less than fair wage. No techs to help nurses turn, bathe and care for very large patients. Hospital does not invest in “no lift” devices to prevent nurse injuries. Double and triple redundant charting takes time away from bedside. Crabby charge nurses who play “favorites”. Pay not fair for experience and responsibility. No system to prevent burn out.

Fast pace, multi-disciplinary team involvement, structured, and fair.
