Pros: My work has a strong impact on students, who, campus-wide, are able to obtain in-subject employment or graduate school placement upon completing their undergraduate degree.
Cons: No regular program exists to compensate employees based on years of service, salary compression has become inverted, and there are wide pay gaps between women and men, young and old faculty (younger are paid more), and by discipline.
