Minimal wages than don’t keep up with inflation, average benefits, no recognition for good work, company pinches pennies at the expense of employee morale. I would not recommend anyone come work here.

Pros: Great infrastructure and a thriving tech community. There is a lot to do in and around Cape Town expecially if you're an active person.
Cons: The inequality, a lot of people don't have proper homes or jobs. Also the wind.

Pros: Good place to start banking. Opportunities to grow if you are driven. Really great people to work with, and environment is family friendly.
Cons: Compensation is good, but raises can be difficult to come by. Often you need to leave the bank and come back again to get a salary bump. Technology is catching up in big ways, but the process has been bumpy.
