Patient Access Representative Reviews
What is it like working as a Patient Access Representative?
May 2021
Although the organization is a wonderful place to work the department is understaffed therefore making the job ver stressful.
Patient Access Representative in Pasadena:
Cons: Staffing and being seen and heard by your manager
January 2021
Love my work, but underappreciated.
Patient Access Representative in Shreveport:
Pros: I really enjoy working with the patients and helping people. I enjoy most of my co-workers.
Cons: I feel that we are not appreciated as Patient Access Representatives. Some of us are working in the Emergency Dept and come in contact with COVID+ patients daily. All employees in the ER were given hazard pay/bonuses except for us. Also all employees are paid time and a half for working holidays except for Patient Access Representatives. We are told we aren't essential. Some of my co-workers have a horrible work ethic, and call in sick or show up late frequently.
November 2020
It has its quirks every now and then.
Patient Access Representative in Forrest City:
Pros: That it has a hands on learning environment
Cons: Meeting new people
September 2020
Patient Access Representative in Knoxville:
Terrible management and low pay. They start new hires at $10/h, if someone has a college degree, they may give $0.30 extra. 1-2% yearly raises --but these adjustments are not guaranteed (not every year). People who have worked there for a decade or longer make about $12-13/h. No chance for advancement. Malfunctioning equipment. Terrible communication among departments. High turnover. Employees are not valued for their experience, education, and skills.
September 2020
I like working as a representative, especially in the emergency room, I enjoy interacting with patients.
Patient Access Representative in Bellflower:

Cons: Having to work every weekend
July 2020
Patient Access Representative in Hollywood:
Great experience if you want to start a career at UM. You learn a lot and the benefits are excellent the pay can be a little bit better but company from a company who paid extremely less is much better .UM is very diverse and the company will focus on it employees. So for those who are looking to work at UM you will not regard it.
