January 2019
Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC):
Working with patients was the best part of the job. Management looks out only for themselves and would throw anyone under a bus, especially if you were willing to worked hard and they felt threatened by you in any way. Some managers (like mine) got away with working 3, sometimes 2 days/week, and was paid much more compared to the research staff, who seemed to be worked to death! Pay was very low, raises were few and far between, and promotions were non-existent. OHSU seems to forget the idea that if they look good care of their employees, they in turn take care of the patients. It is the job of management to support their staff, not to profit at their expense. I also witnessed unethical behavior with regards to the clinical trials at OHSU. I was very glad to resign and will never work for this organization again.

Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC):
I loved my work, but the management of the hospital is terrible for the most part, especially my direct supervisor. And you would think a hospital would have better health insurance. Lip service is given to change.
November 2018
It’s kind of stressful.
