Wonderful research opportunities, but many bureaucratic challenges.

Pros: The research I conduct is interesting and the patient population here is very unique. There are a lot of wonderful physicians to work with.
Cons: There is no structure for professional development and there is no push to develop employees and consider promotions. There are numerous bureaucratic layers that make research her challenging, expensive, and laborious. There is an overarching lack of accountability.
