Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Reviews

What is it like working as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)?

April 2015
We do the most work for low pay.
Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA):
If you wish to continue in the Nursing field do not linger at the CNA level; be encourage; go ahead to the LPN and RN levels. If you're like me and spent so many years without a clue of what you wanted to do; then finally fining your passion in psychology. Get on the road to a college degree and get it done.

Hard position.
Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA):
Hard position for a hospital. 12 hours on your feet with low pay. Very stressful at times to get all your work done. Ther are times when I have 15 patients to care for.

Serve them fast.
Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA):
Pros: I love being able to make a resident feel good with teeth brushed, their nails clipped, lotion to relieve dry skin, conversation about their families and histories.
Cons: The paperwork, whether on the computer or charted in binders is very time-consuming if done correctly. We are expected to work fast in order to keep on a schedule. As a part time worker I have not achieved the necessary speed or efficiency. I don't like seeing corners cut in terms of resident care in order to keep to a schedule.

The amount of hard work determines where you will end up!

Always help out your co-workers.
