October 2015
Office Conditions and Management.
Asset Manager:
Pros: The ability to learn and experience different challenges everyday. I'm involved in different product types which gives me an advantage over siloed positions.
Cons: The management team does not communicate company goals and future missions to the employees as a whole. The work culture is very scared of being terminated and there are little benefits to the everyday worker for excelling at their position. Many times word of mouth is the only way people know what is going on. There is no coordination of projects and structure to the management pyramid. No policies are implemented for any of the processes either.
May 2015
People management is key to performing the job.
Asset Manager:
To excel, organization is key in order to allow for time to undertake strategy and add value for our clients. Being guided by the clients goals and needs brings clarity to issues as they arise.
April 2015
Being smart is irrelevant... Working hard isn't.
Asset Manager:
You don't have to be the smartest person in the room to be the most valuable. Hard work will always trump intelligence.
