Zaxby's Reviews

What is it like working at Zaxby's?

Good Company, difficult store.
Restaurant Assistant Manager in North:
Pros: My district manager is amazing, incredibly supportive, communicative, and always ready and willing to listen and help in any way he can. I've never seen anyone in his position so involved on the store level.
Cons: The general manager and a handful of employees that have been here a long while have developed bad habits that prevent new employees from feeling welcomed or being trained properly. No matter how hard I try to get a plan developed to improve things, nothing changes and I'm usually left dealing with the mess from this poor management
Exhausting.
Assistant Manager in Bartow:
Pros: We have a pretty awesome team and my boss and I get along great and have great communication good or bad
Cons: The company itself is great. I am 1/6 franchised stores owned by one person and he isn't that bad. Our area manager oversees 3 stores and is constantly back and forth and confuses me, but it's never her fault.
Under appreciated.
Line Cook in Cypress:
Pros: I the food
Cons: Terrible workforce that is lazy I have to do everything by myself most of the time
Low pay, long hours, not many benefits.
General Manager, Restaurant in Carrollton:
Pros: Teaching others new skills sets and soft skills
Cons: Does not offer 401k, retirement plan, doesn't take care of their people only "guest focued"
Team leader at zaxbys.
Team Leader, General in Lexington:
Pros: I love being able to help everyone out so the restaurant runs smoothly
Cons: Working 40+ hours and not getting the outcome I deserve on my check
Zantastic experience.
General Manager in Raleigh:
Pros: Serving great food to great customers
Cons: The challenges of coaching people when they fall below standards.
Mediocre.
Cashier in Athens:
Pros: My coworkers, although very unreliable, are what makes work tolerable.
Cons: There is no transparency or consistency. I was forced to be cross trained as a cook and a cashier, and that includes a pay raise. I have not received any raise yet, and was told that I am required to take online lesson that can only be done while clocked in at work... Which is practically impossible to do.
