United States Marines Corp Reviews
What is it like working at United States Marines Corp?
Stressful but satisfactory.
Supply Chain Manager in Camp Lejeune:
Pros: Being a marine has completely opened me up to new and uncomfortable positions. It has pushed me in ways I never thought I could be pushed but it has taught me to go above and beyond. I have learned to become hard working and dependable. I strive to get things done in a timely matter in order to know work will be done by the end of the weekday. I have become confident in my ability to lead and teach others.
Cons: It is an extremely stressful environment to be in. The expectations are unrealistic at times with certain situations. There is very little room for opinions and things have to be done a certain way. At times you are seen as a number, not a person.
It gives me the opportunity to work at an enterprise wide level of system administration that wouldn’t normally be considered with a private company. It gives real world hands on training hat I wouldn’t trade for anything.
System Administrator, Windows Server in San Antonio:
Pros: Learning new topics in the IT community and the ability to have my certifications paid for.
Cons: There is always room for improvement and I want to hopefully work for another company that I can stay with long term and grow with.
Still a Marine.
Systems Administrator in Jacksonville:
Pros: Stable income and close knit friends you see every day almost. especially if you’re unmarried
Cons: The BS that come with rank seniority, the deployments over seas (love/hate) and the unpredictable hours.
Get your licenses and leave after your contract is done!
Maintenance Electrician in Beaufort:
Pros: Time off to make up for lack of pay
Cons: The pay. Severely lacking compared to hours and work out in.
Worth the time.
Network Administrator in North:
Pros: Learning being a network admin and getting a network infrastructure up.
Cons: The stress and demand.
Technicians grab what ever gear needs to be calibrated on the shelf and they go to work.
Metrology Calibration Technician in Havelock:
Pros: Calibration. I feel very successful when I RFI a piece of gear
Cons: I love my job, there are no problems
Hard work and dedication.
Radio Operator in San Clemente:
Pros: The brotherhood and learning new radio systems and functions.
Cons: The salary pay.
