The Home Depot Inc. Reviews

What is it like working at The Home Depot Inc.?

The Home Depot I work at now isnt the best. Mangers are horrible.
Paint Associate in Macedonia:
Pros: That i get to pack down
Cons: The customers
Answer questions about product in the store/where product is.
Sales Associate in Wisconsin Rapids:
Pros: Interacting with customers
Cons: irregular hours
It's a good first job if you want retail.
Order Filler in Spokane:
Pros: Every employee that I've trained with and talked to was SUPER nice and helpful and more than willing to stop what they were doing to help me if they were able.
Cons: The training is almost nonexistent?? I sat on a computer for 8 hours for 3 days by myself with nobody coming to check on me or see if I was even DOING anything. It was the most stressful part. And when its time to go on the floor, there isn't someone to TRAIN you, they hand you to already stressed out employees trying to do their own jobs, so they can't actually step back and teach you. You are thrown into the deep end you can only hope that the people you're partnered with are able to slow down for a second to teach you how to actually do something. You get hands on training, thrown into the deep end and you had better keep up.
If you’re willing to reach for it-the sky is the limit.

Highly repetitive with opportunities to assist customers.

An excellent company to work for.
