The Home Depot Inc. Reviews
What is it like working at The Home Depot Inc.?
The wrong leadership will kill morale.
Assistant Store Manager in Poughkeepsie:
Pros: I love my associates. I have built great teams who exceed my expectations even in my absence because they know they are empowered.
Cons: The store management/district managermnt performs and prepares for visits from regional management and up. They forget on a daily basis that everyday customers walk in and they are who you are supposed to work for. Customers and associayes and pushed to the side to cater to regional leadership and up. Managers dress different, push associates to work extra hours and extended shifts to prepare for visits and then cut the associates hours after the visit. If they focused on customer service, work life balance for associates and drove and maintained consistent hours and expectactions the store would run at peak levels, produce sales to suppirt the hours and there would be no need to prep for visits. If you take care of your xustomers and associates everything else takes care if itself.
Stressful when you’re doing all the work.
Order Filler in Alexandria:
Pros: Flexible schedule and tuition reimbursement
Cons: One person does all the work
Ehh...it's ok.
Sales Specialist in Scottsdale:
Pros: getting paid
Cons: lack of trust and support from mgmt.-used to take responsibility for our work and
Constantly harassed by supervisors and mgmt to get customers to open a new credit card. I have applied many times to other depts and either get ignored, they hire a new timesheet employee with less OTJ time as myself.
Cashier in Coeur d'Alene:
Pros: The cashier's I work with and nothing else.
Cons: Being ignored when applying for a new dept when I have let all of mgmt know I'm interested in learning something new! Mgmt at my store likes to promote those whom "brown-nose' to move up the ladder.
I love my job 100%. We are learning to improve the online experience.
Customer Service Representative (CSR) in Wasilla:
Pros: I love my customers and the vast ways I can help them
Cons: User experience has been an issue. Too many issues that we have created on our site, which need improvement
Challenging, stressful, satisfying!
Sales Supervisor in Fort Myers:
Pros: Family atmosphere, solving problems, taking care of customers
Cons: Irregular hours
Helping the customer find solutions to their everyday living environment problems.
Sales Specialist in Chicago:
Pros: Being able to assist customer customers using learning experiences accumulated over time
Cons: Not having complete ownership of client relationships
