Siemens Reviews
What is it like working at Siemens?
Pretty great.
Field Service Engineer in Sacramento:
Pros: My company has an abundance of resources and the ceiling for personal development is a lot higher than your typical small business.
Cons: That being said opportunities for self improvement and career development are heavily reliant on the individual without much assistance (if any at all) in creating a linear pathway to a higher status. This can be looked at as a positive or a negative because you can technically apply for any role, but you may not get the position you applied for and you may never know why or how to ensure your acceptance the next time around.
Is not a place where you easily change the status quo.
Business Process / Management Consultant in Lisbon:
Pros: Flexibility and good environment for have fun at work
Cons: Salaries are low, highly bureaucratic and it is difficult to innovate
Sr. Software Engineer / Developer / Programmer in St. Louis:
Company is currently going thru M/A Hell. Policy and procedures are Swiss Cheese. Everyone is looking for upper hand on the other departments, and upper management is just trying to stay out of it. When asking for money its pulling teeth, forget about Head Count in the USA unless you are the favorite child. Most people with common sense or skills are jumping ship.
Great.
Junior Software Engineer in Curitiba:
Pros: I have a lot of autonomy,
I learn a lot
Its challenging
I work daily with great and really smart people
My work life is stable
Cons: bad coding practices
Bad sales strategies
Not a project engineer - systems engineer.
Project Engineer in Melbourne:
Pros: Flexible hours, nice office
Cons: Poor management, not enough people available for mentorship. Dinosaurs with 'knowledge is power' attitude.
Great opportunities.
Electrical Engineer in Denver:
Pros: The sky is the limit and we get exposed to various different technologies, people and companies
Cons: Not being able to speak openly and visit manufacturing plants of our competitors - that is just the nature of the manufacturing industry.
Great place to work.
Senior Financial Analyst in Houston:
Pros: Given freedom to get stuff done - but enough direction to get it done right
Cons: Red tape
