Raytheon Missile Systems Reviews

What is it like working at Raytheon Missile Systems?

Superior Employer.
Manufacturing Engineering Manager in McAlester:
Pros: Our autonomy and ability to create a better future
Cons: Silo, no growth opportunity at our specific site
No leadership qualities or guidance.
Electronics Assembler in San Diego:
Pros: Working with others and getting jobs out of the door with quality And on time
Cons: Lack of communication and very low Wages
Senior Analyst, Finance in Tucson:
I worked at Hughes/Raytheon for 32 yrs and my overall experience was good. Management was adequate, could have had better qualified management at times. Performance appraisals at time were biased. At the time pension and 401k was excellent only if you participated. Much Better than other companies in the Tucson Area.
Interesting and challenging.
Senior Analyst, Finance in Tucson:
Pros: New problems come up that need to be solved
Cons: people that don't pull their weight
Senior Systems Engineer in Tucson:
The onboarding experience is terrible, they hire to meet a quota with no real work available. This is a well known issue, but there is no apparent effort to solve it. However, if you are persistent enough you can find great opportunities.
Decent place if you like tons of meetings and reviews... And policies.
Senior Mechanical Design Engineer in Tucson:
Pros: Ability to work in multiple programs
Cons: Too many policies, rules, meetings, and wasted time
Not compensated appropriately, very political, but am privileged to have a rewarding team.
Certified Scrummaster (CSM) in Tucson:
Pros: The teams I am the SM for are a lot of fun
Cons: I am spread too thin, and there is little effort on my management to get me to an appropriate level of compensation
