Publix Super Markets Inc Reviews
What is it like working at Publix Super Markets Inc?
Responsible for everyone.
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPHT) in Madison:
Pros: I like my co-workers and some of the patients.
Cons: I dislike the feeling of having to babysit our patients. We must remind them to refill meds and put them on an auto refill program and text or call to remind them of things. Also the pharmacist does not get a break in 12 hours or more. Pharmacy is turning into fast food and not healthcare. Also the stress is unreal.
Where working is a pleasure.
Cashier:
Pros: Employers, coworkers are friendly, they're there to help, guide, and assist you with all of your needs. I am physically active, and must socialize all day which keeps my mood positive and energy level is high. My management wants what is best for me and wants me to succeed and grow with the company. Customers are happy and satisfied almost 100 percent of the time. I am confident in what I do and what I am capable of doing at publix. Stock options, and a 401k is just the beginning of all the possible benefits of eventually working full time.
Cons: I have to wait a long time and receive extensive training to earn a full time position even thought my availability is completely open, even weekends and evenings. As a cashier, I am still scheduled to do janitorial work three times or more a week such as running floor machines and sweeping. Bagging is the most physical work I have ever done in the hot weather it lowers my energy and moral. I am highly capable of working full time as a customer service staff and over two years still haven't received any training for the position.
Deli Clerk:
Pros: Meet and great new customers. Help them serve and give them ideal want to have for dinner.
Cons: Cleaning up the whole deli station from the morning shift. Every week have to break down the case and be short handed.
Allison.
Customer Service Associate:
Pros: Ability to Move up the ladder.
Cons: Dealing with customer complaints.
Good.
Stock Clerk:
Pros: People I work with.
Cons: Some of management.
Publix "A Great Place To Work"
Produce Clerk (Grocery):
Pros: Truely a corporate haven. The work at Publix can be challenging and stressful at times, but the community and culture is great. Good benefits!
Cons: Needs a produce team leader.
Becoming less like the original Publix and more like a corporate giant.
Make it a great place to work or not.... It depends on YOU!
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPHT):
Pros: The friendly people that is always willing to do there best to keep a customer happy!!!
