L3Harris Reviews

What is it like working at L3Harris?

Too little work.
Logistics Specialist in Halifax:
Pros: The flexibility and time I have for other things.
Cons: I feel bored with the work that I am doing
Continuous Improvement Manager:
Amazing products - mind blowing actually. Front-line employees also so passionate and determined. Main issue is that the organization is in a cultural pivot changing from "Management by Objective" to "Servant Leadership" model which will mean streamlining and flattening the overly complex hierarchy of reporting structure and mindset to modernize. This transformation is very ongoing and until it stabilizes with better focus on back to basics of essentialism, quality thinking and standardization - low retention will remain a threat.
Exciting work, good atmosphere, poor compensation.
Software Developer in Hamilton:
Pros: The work is interesting the coworkers are great.
Cons: Disorganized and poor compensation.
Post-Merger, Mid-Pandemic Eval.
Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer in Melbourne:
Pros: The other employees in my department, from new hires up to top level technical and managerial staff, are an amazing group of individuals. Senior engineers in the company are always willing to help and everyone seems to generally have your best interests in mind which is extremely rare, from my experience, in this day and age.
Cons: Possibly due to COVID, but the workload has been insufficient to keep new hires busy. Alot of the work you get after being hired is basically earned through the building of relationships with other high ranking members of your department. I do not enjoy having to network myself inside of my own company in order to attain work experience relevant to my degree. I expect two main things from any employer, a competitive salary and a constant flow of work inside of my field in order to attain greater technical knowledge, which in hand makes me worth more and develop more quickly as an engineer. The pay and benefits are there, but I feel I have lost quite a bit of valuable time starting in my field due to the low availability of work for new hires.
Compensation is a complete joke.
Systems Administrator in Melbourne:
Pros: I have the opportunity to form my own future at L3Harris
Cons: Compensation is an absolute joke. Highly valued employees with massive responsibilities and qualifications are most often not paid as well as new employees that come to the company with less qualifications and responsibilities.
Not agile; pretending to be agile. Work has to have customer orders.
Software Quality Engineer in Jersey City:
Pros: Work from hme
Cons: Boys club. Pay does not reflect output.
It can be satisfying but I believe management should be more transparent and open with their employees.
Field Service Engineer in Salt Lake City:
Pros: the people
Cons: travel
