Kohl's Department Stores Inc Reviews

What is it like working at Kohl's Department Stores Inc?

Using my psychology degree in a retail atmosphere.
Customer Service Sales Associate in Frisco:
Pros: Solving problems in a way that is fair to both the customer and the company
Cons: Working with customers that get angry when they do not get what they feel they are due after explaining why.
I love to help people customers and coworkers and I get paid to do so.
Retail Department Supervisor in Omaha:
Pros: Working for the costumers and assisting coworkers
Cons: Different Rules for different Foods. Which is exactly why I am on this questionnaire!
Too many responsibilities for too little pay.
Sales Team Leader, Retail in Sonora:
Pros: Actually merchandising product so customers can find what they are looking for.
Cons: Too little payroll+too many expectations for existing employees to cover multiple positions +a corporate office out of touch with day to day store operations = an exodus of long timers.
Increasing workload, while decreasing staffing.
Sales Team Leader, Retail in Sonora:
Pros: When I get to help a customer find exactly what they are looking for.
Cons: The company’s corporate office has been steadily making choices that are driving the company into the ground. Underpaid, overworked staff that isn’t compensated for workload, and high credit application number expectations are both contributing to a higher turnover rate than any retailer in the country.
Beauty Counter Manager in Culpeper:
Pros: I love my Job. I get to help with the customers , and coworker of all ages, put up new stock, make displays, Inventory.
Cons: Not getting the correct pay... A new Associate comes in no Experience and get paid almost what I get paid or a few dollars less and I have been there 16 years at Kohl's and I have previous experience in other Department Stores. I was an Asst. Manager as well.
There are Opportunities.
Sales Associate in Newnan:
Pros: There is always a big chance for growth within the company. I almost doubled my income in 3years working for Kohls. Flexibility in the schedule helps you accomplish so much more.
Cons: Management needs to offer more training to its associates, it can be a high-demand job if the management team is not held accountable nor properly trained to handle conflict.
Customer Service Sales Associate in Auburn:
Kohl's seemed like a pretty good place to work. The only down side experience I had was being a seasonal worker during Christmas. I was the only one working in Customer service. There are so many responsibilities to handle and being the only employee behind the counter handling all the customers with returns, Amazon returns, and in store orders was not ok. There should have been at least three employees behind customer service desk at all times. During that month of December.
