Kaiser Permanente Reviews

What is it like working at Kaiser Permanente?

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Federal Way:
Pros: I was originally hired at Group Health when I was 17 years old, so I don't have any experience working outside this system. Their is a lot to be said about being confident and comfortable in a position. I like the stability of knowing what's expected and knot he system I work in very good.
Cons: The pay is below standards in the area. A friend of mine worked for the State of WA and retired making $15 more than I do, with less then 15 years work there. Mom
Stressful.
Senior Charge Nurse (RN) in Ontario:
Pros: Having a union to protect me from organizational leaders.
Cons: Organizational leaders shifting resources away from patients.
KP Learning Consultant.
Consultant, Learning and Development in Portland:
Pros: I’ve met many great people in my time at KP.
Cons: The politics between and among regions/markets is literally exhausting. Some parts of the company that do very similar work have huge budgets while others have tiny budgets. Yet we’re all measured against the same standard.
It’s always been a team effort being that our department is 3rd in priority of the company operations.
