JCPenney Reviews

What is it like working at JCPenney?

15% fun 85% hard. Overworked and underpaid.
Assistant Buyer in Dallas:
Pros: If you get lucky and get put on a great team, the overwhelming workload and stress is more tolerable. And we can wear jeans.
Cons: Incessant unnecessary meetings. Poor communication from leadership. Definitely do not value employees, especially younger ones - trying to get the most bang for their buck workload-wise vs focusing on their careers/futures.
Good but more support needed.
Operations Supervisor in Clermont:
Pros: Flexibility
Cons: Problems
It is pretty alright.
Sales Associate in Morgantown:
Pros: Atmosphere, the people I work with, and the laid back environment.
Cons: The customers and sometimes what they expect from a kid working for a quarter above minimum wage for 4 hours to do.
Customer service specialist.
Salon Receptionist in Buffalo:
Pros: My coworkers
Cons: Pay rate
Don't.
Sales Associate in Lynchburg:
Pros: The discount is pretty decent
Cons: Credit. Everything revolves around getting people to sign up for credit cards
Must be on top of your game at all times to please the customer and management. Must get credit applications as many as possible at all times no matter what and all other duties completed during shift.
Associate Merchandiser in Vero Beach:
Pros: My coworkers
Cons: Your hours are mostly based on how many people you get to open credit cards.
It is okay.
Dock Worker in Loveland:
Pros: I like being able to listen to music and focus on working
Cons: The low pay rate after being there for 2.5 years
