HCR ManorCare Reviews

What is it like working at HCR ManorCare?

Rewarding.
Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA) in Tacoma:
Pros: Helping people return home
Cons: Below average pay, disorganization between departments, poor communication
COTA/L job at Heartland of Mentor, HCR ManorCare.
Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) in Mentor:
Pros: As an Occupational Therapy Assistant in rehabilitation at a LTC nursing home, I’m gratefully honored to make a significant impact on the lives of my patients. I love helping my patients feel happy!
Cons: Total lack of communication with the Director of Rehabilitation services. DOR’s management style is that of “putting out fires” so to speak, and lack of assistance resolving work issues, scheduled hours, and especially with EMR rehab documentation software programs!
It great because I get to meet people and give them love and the support they need.
Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) in Chicago:
Pros: The residents
Cons: Not enough equipment to do the job
Rewarding.
Volunteer Coordinator in West Branch:
Pros: I love the volunteers I work with. I like matching them with patients and being able to provide a special something at the end of life. A conversation, a song, holding a hand, just being there for someone.
Cons: It's a challenge to find people to volunteer.
A roller coaster of highs and lows.
Physical Therapist Assistant in Sterling Heights:
Pros: satisfied patients who have made life changing strides from all time lows and landing back on their feet.
Cons: Unrealistic productivity goals, documentation, non rehab appropriate patients
Staffing Coordinator in Marietta:
Pros: People
Cons: Not having staff
Stressful.
Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) in Fountain Hill:
Pros: Same schedule each week
Cons: Understaffed
