HCR ManorCare Reviews

What is it like working at HCR ManorCare?

Busy, stressful.
Housekeeping Supervisor in Marion:
Pros: The residents
Cons: Pay
Changing.
Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) in Green Bay:
Pros: The patients and families
Cons: Company becoming very impersonal
Mixed emotions.
Physical Therapist Assistant:
Pros: I like being the direct contributing factor in helping my patients improve their functional skills. I also like being able to decide when a patient is fully prepared to return home.
Cons: The physical, occupational, and speech therapy department is looked down upon from other departments. We are not valued for the amount of work that is expected of us. Our department gets blamed for the mistakes of other departments. The medical benefits are terrible.
Admissions Coordinator:
Pros: My immediate coworkers. Company is state wide. Workers actually care for their job and the patients they provide service to.
Cons: Over worked. Under paid versus coworkers who have worked less years. Benefits not good.
No Appreciation, Work Harder, More Productivity, Stress.
Physical Therapist Assistant:
Pros: The hours and not working the weekends.
Cons: If the company gave fair pay raises that they aren't embarrassed to give they would be proud to tell everyone what they were, ie: employees received pay increases of 1-1.3%. Instead they are hush, hush. "Don't talk about your salary, it's against company policy." Of course it is. You don't want us to know that the person sitting next to us doing the same work is getting more money.
