Project Manager, Information Technology (IT) in Wellford:
HCL is to India what IBM is to the USA. I'm proud to be a part of such a global IT powerhouse. I have been welcomed in. Since then my talents have been recognized and rewarded. The culture is very broad and diverse. I look forward to globe trotting and advancing in the years to come. I've found my home.
Better than being unemployed, I guess...
Desktop Support Specialist in Jackson:
Pros: Good benefits and work from home.
Cons: Salary well below the national median for the position. Three years with no raise even though company has shown massive revenue and net income those years, with more level 2 and 3 duties being added during that same time. Nearly zero upward mobility or technical advancement in the project I'm on; client is a large utility company. Unrealistic SLAs - "overpromise and underdeliver" is the modus operandi, even after seven plus years. Client held responsible for virtually nothing; they're spoon-fed basically everything, even though many of the their employees treat contractors as second-class citizens.
