Genesis HealthCare Reviews

What is it like working at Genesis HealthCare?

O lord we are spliting again.
Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA):
Pros: I love my residents. But im not to fond of my co workers or my supervision peers. We are always working short and can not take care of residents properly. Its not fair to us as workers and it is so not fair to the residents. The good thing though is you can get as many hours as you want because we dont have enough staff to ever cover a shift.
Cons: Almost any and everything. Not enough help and residents do not get the proper care they deserve.
My Job.
Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA):
Pros: Working with the patients.
Cons: Lack of good management direction, poor planning, lack of concern for staff.
Pay not equal to education.
MDS Coordinator:
Pros: Close to home.
Cons: Pay, benefits.
Horrible.
Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA):
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Understaffed. Poorly run. Level of care is not up to par. Cna's are expected to do everything. No lockdown unit meaning dementia patients are all over the facility.
High pay high stress.
Registered Nurse (RN):
Pros: The pay.
Cons: The stress some patients and family members.
