Geico Reviews
What is it like working at Geico?
Not worth it.
Product Owner in Chevy Chase:
Pros: The opportunity to be creative and work independently
Cons: The agile framework, the management, the gaslighting, the mindset
Great Job and career if you want it to be.
Customer Service Representative (CSR) in Woodbury:
Pros: I like that I make more money than I did at a regular retail job. I like that the team has a great sense of humor, and everyone (mostly) is kind. I like that GEICO actually cares about your opinion and well-being and they don't tolerate mistreatment.
Cons: I don't like how close and how easy it is to lose calls with the metrics in service. If they didn't have such annoying metrics, the employees wouldn't quit so often.
It was great at first but it burns you out fast.
Claims Adjuster in Virginia Beach:
Pros: The management staff
Cons: The stressful environment for less than par pay
Very productive not life balanced.
Claims Supervisor in San Diego:
Pros: Learn how to manage more than seems reasonable
Cons: Pay isn't enough to support my family
Systems Engineer, IT in Chevy Chase:
Pros: That there are a lot of avenues in which you can develop your skills and you are given opportunities to better yourself.
Cons: That there is not much flexibility with being modern in terms of work from home and a lot of micromanagement.
Micromanagement to the highest level. Frustrated, demotivating and demoralized!
Paralegal / Legal Assistant in Glen Allen:
Pros: The company itself is great, GEICO is a good place to work but not in my current position.
Cons: Negative atmosphere due to being micromanaged. I feel like I am back in grade school.
Great atmosphere, but paid under market.
Senior Systems Analyst in Lakeland:
Pros: The relationships I've built are excellent. I also love the advancement opportunities at a place that is quickly expanding it's IT footprint throughout the company.
Cons: My current project sometimes seems a little disjointed.
