Ascension Health Reviews

What is it like working at Ascension Health?

Exhilarating.
Registered Nurse (RN), Emergency Room in Southfield:
Pros: Helping people at their most desperate times in life
Cons: No help, no staff retention, no supplies
I enjoy what I do. Never not busy.
Records Analyst in Wichita:
Pros: You are never dealing with the same issues everyday. I really enjoy the staff I work with.
Cons: What I like least about my job is that some staff don't do their job to the best of their ability. i work with medical records and I do not see the patients or deal with the staff directly. I pick up the paperwork and then get it ready to scan. When i receive the paperwork, it should have the patients name and dob on it. Sometimes it does not and I have to take it back to the nurses or front desk staff to figure out who the patient is.
Powerful Service in Language Access.
Medical Interpreter in Austin:
Pros: Constant growth and great team of colleagues
Cons: lack of routine, but the scheduling is understandable...
Rewarding yet under appreciated and under compensated.
Diagnostic Imaging Supervisor in Austin:
Pros: Patients and teamwork
Cons: Lack of staff, budget cuts
Psychiatric Nurse (RN) in Austin:
Nice coworkers, poor management and short staffed almost everyday. Pay is average for newer nurses, better with experience. Management other than direct supervisors rarely seen. Slow to respond to violence against staff, but when does is appropriate.
Terrible Management, Hostile Enviornment.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Milwaukee:
Pros: My team (CNA’s and Nurse’s) and my pay.
Cons: Management, feeling unappreciated, feeling uncomfortable talking with DON, when my DON makes group text messages with all Nursing and Management team on it and singles out certain employees on it and the list goes on....
Underappreciated.
Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) in Tulsa:
Pros: Helping patients with their path to wellness
Cons: management nonexistent with issues and resolution
