Ascension Health Reviews

What is it like working at Ascension Health?

Consistent work.
Strategy Consultant in Indianapolis:
Pros: I like that the work is consistent, I get to work from home, and I feel appreciated by my co-workers.
Cons: I would like a little more variability in the work that I do
Invisable.
Registered Nurse (RN) in Austin:
Pros: Taking care of people
Cons: Shortage of staff but increase workload no communication with director of nurses
Once you get a good management team, you never leave!
Registered Nurse (RN), Utilization Review (UR) in Sterling Heights:
Pros: I have full autonomy working from home, I have the flexibility I need to keep my kids out of before/after school care and save so much time not commuting.
Cons: Slackers are given a pass. A lot of people are just warm bodies to fill a gap, even if they're barely half doing their jobs.
Happy to vork at a small hospital.
Certified Surgical First Assistant in Chicago:
Pros: I can scrub and assist-dual role
Cons: pay could be a little better; surgical volume could be more
Fair to Good overall.
Occupational Therapist (OT) in Detroit:
Pros: The focus on quality patient care.
Cons: I feel underpaid and under appreciated. Very difficult to negotiate pay up even when taking on new responsibilities.
I do not receive my bonuses on time, it takes 6 months to get my raise, and then I have to wait 2 more months to get backpaid. No yearly raise. Small/limited work area.
Sterile Processing Technician in Birmingham:
Pros: my coworkers encourage me to keep a positive mindset
Cons: we need an empathetic and a good communicator, that stands up for it's employees
Could be better.
Information Security Analyst in Birmingham:
Pros: My department is great. Most of the people in the department are incredibly talented and have a strong sense of work ethic.
Cons: Forces outside the department, especially HCL, seem to frequently target us without merit in an attempt to undermine our goals. Executives outside of Security throw money away on unneeded software when we have paid for tools already that accomplish the same job, yet somehow we've barely been able to get any kind of pay increases in a few years.
