Advance Auto Parts, Inc. Reviews
What is it like working at Advance Auto Parts, Inc.?
At times the busy pace is stressful but the outcome of happy customers is satisfying.
General Manager in Norfolk:
Pros: I enjoy helping customers find the right parts to fix their cars.
Cons: Sometimes the days are too long or super busy and no time for a break, but overall not bad.
Pat needs to be increased so I can afford to pay my bills as well as fix my own vehicle.
Key Holder in Eaton Rapids:
Pros: Get to meet all different types of people. As well as constantly learn new things about the automotive industry.
Cons: The pay isn't that good. All customers expecting that we are all certified mechanics that can figure out every single problem the customer has with their vehicles
Decent entry level management.
Parts Manager in Kearney:
Pros: Regular customers and coworkers that know their stuff. You will learn about cars if you didn't know very much prior.
Cons: Terrible pay. Kids at the McDonald's make 50¢/hour more than I do, and $4/hour more than my guys on crew. Parts are overpriced to hell and back. You don't think this company has a very bright future if you're working there.
Too many expectations. Retail wants you to be both the shop hand and the savvy salesman.
Salesperson / Salesman / Saleswoman in Houma:
Pros: The work isn’t too exhausting most of the time and my coworkers are good people
Cons: Poor management and low pay
Love the location I'm at they really appreciate all the employees.
Inside Sales Specialist in Pharr:
Pros: I don't have to deal with all the issues constantly arising at the store due to nonsense with the employees that have been there longer than the new ones they seem to just not be able to get along "Get the Job done" The manager has a lot to do with the issues in not being fair too much favoritism...& never wants to be the bad guy he would rather the employees snub each other till it gets out of hand
Cons: I really don't spend time at the store that I was hired at I am contracted out to another automotive production dealer so I feel that they don't consider me a team member they never explain changes or upcoming communications with me the manager doesn't keep me up to date with changes or events at advance auto parts I feel very out of the loop
No appreciation and horrible pay.
Delivery Driver in Chino Hills:
Pros: Great customers
Cons: Horrible pay with expectations that go beyond job description, new hires are getting paid almost $2 more then current loyal employees
Exhuasting, but there is a lot to learn.
Systems Administrator in Rocky Mount:
Pros: I am exposed and trusted with many technologies and opportunities to expand my knowledge.
Cons: The workload is excessive and stressful with lots of bureaucratic red tape.
