What is it like working at The Salvation Army?

I am technically a receptionist but do more than I was hired for. Technically I am an office manager & do the work of such. But they wont change my title so they can pay me less.
Receptionist in Carthage:
Pros: Helping people that need food & a little financial assistance. Also like ability to work on my own. No one supervises me.
Cons: I do the work of an office manager, social worker & receptionist. Only paid to be a receptionist. Over worked...under paid.
Multiple department managed for little pay.
Food Service Manager in Jacksonville:
Pros: Helping people rebuild their lives
Cons: My hourly cooks minimum wage pay rates.
Exciting to know that we are helping someone in need.
Human Resources (HR) Generalist in San Diego:
Pros: I like that in doing my job effectively, it helps someone on the road to recovery. I am part of the process in helping those in recovery get a job and periodically I get to see them at their worksite.
Cons: Seeing the expressions of employees being held accountable for wrong doings.
Limited.
General/Institution Cook in Houston:
Pros: Cooking and the people I can help.
Cons: Salary and my supervisor
