Lowe's Home Improvement Inc. Reviews
What is it like working at Lowe's Home Improvement Inc.?
Lowe's has shifted from a bottom-up style management company to a top-down policy enforcement environment.
Sales Specialist in Grosse Pointe:
Pros: Freedom to use my ability to develop trust/relationship with contractors. Sense of "team" in the ProService Dept.
Cons: Recent major shift in the Lowe's culture where new corporate policies have dramatically limited my freedom/ability to provide superior customer service. New micro managers in charge!!
Good experience/e-training and hands on.
Retail Cashier in Oneonta:
Pros: Structured, fair, well managed
Cons: Days with long hours on my feet!
Stay away unless it's a last resort.
Customer Service Associate in Auburn:
Pros: There's some genuinely good, funny people to work with, but outside of that there is very little redeeming value to working for this company.
Cons: The corporate policies and operations are tone deaf and tie the hands of in-store management. They expect their associates to go above and beyond for pathetic pay rates and don't understand why they can't keep people. Systems are old, hard to understand, and inefficient.
It was very rewarding.
Retail Sales Associate in Douglas:
Pros: it gave me the chance to help people make things beautiful
Cons: lots of problems some times
Stressful.
Overnight Stocker in Zephyrhills:
Pros: I like that I am paid above minimum wage
Cons: The people that I work for and with are jerks and management doesn’t have a clue what they’re doing
Miserable.
Customer Service Associate in Johnson City:
Pros: My coworkers
Cons: Everything
Love my job.
Receiving Clerk in Jacksboro:
Pros: The people I work with and customers that come in store are great.
Cons: It enough recognition and tbe pay is based on sales not work performance
