Registered Dietitian Reviews
What is it like working as a Registered Dietitian?
May 2023
Challenging.
Registered Dietitian in St. Louis:
Pros: Love my patients and the families I work with - Pediatric providers are great and co-workers are very friendly, upbeat, and supportive
Cons: Don't feel like "they" higher management realize what I do - and do not pay me(and another RDN that works with me) market value for our credentials, experience and background. Other professions whom we work alongside are getting perks (2% raise due to nursing shortage?) while we do diabetes support and education right next to them- and no increase for us? That is a morale hit in the face
December 2022
Registered Dietitian in Denver:
Pros: The RD team is fantastic.
Cons: Not specifically with the company but the profession in general is severely undervalued and underpaid. I recently saw a job posting for a dog groomer with a higher salary than the average Registered Dietitian. It is honestly heartbreaking.
September 2022
We are always here. We never shut down.
Registered Dietitian in Jackson:
Pros: I like the consistencies of dialysis.
Cons: Salaries are always low for Dietitians. Our profession is often overlooked or put off until last.
August 2022
Engaging.
Registered Dietitian in Tacoma:
Pros: I have a lot of autonomy and get to use a variety of dietetic skills.
Cons: The company sets its pay based on corporate rates in Texas.
March 2022
I feel valuable among my fellow employees and IDT but I don't really feel valued as an employee by the company.
Registered Dietitian in Phoenix:
Pros: I like working with my team members to help patients and flexible schedule. I've stayed because of the flexible schedule as I can help patients anywhere.
Cons: Pay and feeling pressured to promote certain products (i.e. pharmacy) for the company. This is not done at other dialysis companies.
February 2022
Never two days the same!
Registered Dietitian in Saint Joseph:
Pros: The diversity of patients and the health concerns they have; and the challenge to continue to learn to best help them.
Cons: The fact that I don't feel administration really understands all I do, and how hard I really work for them.
December 2020
The people.
Registered Dietitian in Philadelphia:
Pros: Being in a big city but it’s cheaper than other places and great culture/atmosphere
Cons: The garbage
