Human Resources (HR) Manager Reviews
What is it like working as a Human Resources (HR) Manager?
December 2014
Continuing Education.
Human Resources (HR) Manager:
I wish I'd known how intensive HR can be in a company of 100. My background was in Accounting with a low level of HR. For this job, I have to keep up on HR law and changes as best I can. Valuable skills learned with this job were excelling on different payroll systems. I've learned two in this job, ADP and Paychex. People skills are an absolute must on this position. The perks are a relaxed work environment, clothing and attitude-wise.

I would advise anyone working within the HR industry to have a good knowledge in Employee Law, Case Studies regarding Industrial Relations.
Also, use Legal Representatives for advise - SFA, IBEC, Peninsula etc...
If you have a qualification in HRM, it will give you a good knowledge of all employment law, however you need to work ion the field to gain the most knowledge.
