Pros: Role and responsibility, support from the higher management.
Cons: Not enough recognition, bias, salary.

Keep learning -- taking as many classes, seminars, webinars, reading white papers, reading HR blogs and forums has been a wonderful resource in helping me figure out how to best do my job.

Pros: I love being an advocate for employees. Human beings matter; they're our company's greatest resource.
Cons: I get very little respect. (I got a lot more respect when I worked in accounting.)
