Catering/Sales Manager.
General / Operations Manager:
Pros: I love all of the people I get to meet and the small staff. It's a very personal, one on one environment.
Cons: Sometimes the small staff can cause things to become hectic. Too much of a work load.

You Must Be Perfect.
General / Operations Manager:
In school, 90% correct is typically an "A". An "A" maxes out your GPA points, and that is what is shown on your transcript. In school, if you get an A then you look perfect. You look like you achieved everything you could possibly expect to achieve. In the workplace, A might as well stand for "amateur". Because, if you do a report or project and have a single number wrong in a presentation and it's caught then the rest of your entire project will come into question and everyone will instantly become almost paralyzed with uncertainty. So, your best case thing to do in school, or in work, is to get used to checking your work, having colleagues check your work and accept and understand that your goal should not be 90% work but work that you could bet your job and your life and your family's life that it is 100% correct. Might not be possible, but if 99% of the time you are 100% correct, that will be a start.

Horses Are A Lot Of Work But Worth It.
General / Operations Manager:
Pros: I find it rewarding working with the horses. When they are hungry I feed them, hurt I heal them and sick I nurse them. They are as grateful to me as I am to them. They are kind and beautiful and I love them all.
Cons: The stress of dealing with ordering and coworkers.

Follow up!!
General / Operations Manager:
Always make sure to follow up with what you set your employees to do. That way you ensure that the task you ask them to do is completed. Always give them a time frame to do it in and so that it gives them a sense of urgency.

Eyes Open.
General / Operations Manager:
Ask the pertinent questions regarding what is expected via a job description and get it in writing. Never assume what you heard is what is truly expected and if you have it in writing there is no guess work or gray areas.
