Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Sydney:
Pros: I love providing care so clients get to stay in their home . I love working independently, but also love the fact that help is a phone call away
Cons: Not enough staff
I wish there was more opportunities to grow as a recreation therapist at the VON, considering our lack of budget it’s hard to provide the best quality program and experience for our clients.
Recreation Coordinator in Hamilton:
Pros: Majority of the staff truly care about our clients and embrace recreation and understand its benefits for our clients.
Cons: Majority of our clients are far into their dementia which makes it hard to provide quality programming due to lack of budget and resources. Our group sizes are too large, we have the space to provide smaller group sizes but we don’t have the staff to facilitate the programming needed because the company is unable to hire more staff due to lack of funding.
Personal Support Worker at VON.

Interaction with clients, rewarding.
