Pros: I like the everyday interaction with our customers and employees. The company offers advancement opportunities.
Cons: Since my beginning with the company, they have made some changes that a lot of workers don't agree with.

Be fully aware of promotion opportunities for this position or other positions in the company.
Be available to move wherever you are needed.
Always give 100% in your job no matter what you are doing.

Customer Service Manager:
Pros: The amount of people that I come into contact with every week from employees, colleges, customers and company representatives. It is always interesting talking and building relationships with a wide range of people.
Cons: Politics and office gossip, how quickly stories will go around not just the individual store but a whole area.

Hind sight.
Customer Service Manager:
Go on site meet all the relevant people that you will deliver a service to. Learn their business ASAP. Go onsite and understand what do they do, what do they need to do it, what is the impact if it doesn't work and who need to fix it! Do ITIL courses especially Continuous Service Improvement, and obtain a degree.
