Web Administrator:
Pros: Work from home.
Can be very creative in a technical field.
Challenge new technology and systems.
Great learning experience.
Minimal interaction with people.
Near full control over your work process and environment. Orientated towards deliverable's and maintenance.
Cons: Hackers.
Can be mentally draining and physically sedentary.
Customer demands can be unreasonable or have no basis in practical terms. Constraints on software and service use can add additional complications.
Self-employed, so there's no holidays, no pension, no benefits and you file your own taxes. You have no insurance that you will continue to be employed by a single company.
If you're on the periphery of a business, internal politics can affect your work without your knowledge or commentary. This often results in redacting or rebuilding your past work.
As "the Tech" you will often be asked to help with tasks unrelated to your job description. This can range from the trivial to the infuriating.
