Video Producer Reviews
What is it like working as a Video Producer?
December 2014
Never stop learning and be curious of everything.
Video Producer:
Learn the tools, watch and listen to everything. Learn how to use light and color. Find and work with a good mentor that challenges you. Be meticulous with your audio as bad audio will ruin any good video. Be disciplined and show up for every job early--do not be late and do not quit even unless it is physically impossible to move. Make sure that you are over prepared--especially in remote locations; have a back-up to your back-up. Also, it's very hard to have a family in this job and you may travel so much that you become a gypsy with no home. Do not attach your ego to your work and accept criticism with professionalism and grace for nothing you do will ever be perfect. The sooner you accept that, the better your life will become.
