Even though we work with people during the darkest times in their lives watching them grow and take the control back in their lives and become more empowered is one of the best rewards in the world, and I wouldn't change that for anything!

Being a victim advocate is great, but the management and high turnover make everything more difficult and chaotic than it needs to be. The job description, title, duties, and procedures are constantly changing and I was basically told not to expect a raise even with increasing responsibilities.
