Van Driver Reviews
What is it like working as a Van Driver?
March 2023
Its a good job but the pay is to low for the work, and the updating of work information needs to be done on a more regular basis.
Van Driver in Raleigh:
Pros: the coworkers are friendly and willing to help new employees
Cons: the routes are terribly made and not updated to where you are picking up students at the listed address and they have moved
June 2022
Working as a class a cdl driver and driving semi trucks for coke is average at best.
Van Driver in New Bern:
Pros: The time off is adequate
Cons: The work load as well as the expected work environment in which you operate. They dont back their employees and even tried to fire one of our guys after he saved a young child by placing him in the truck while he called 911. The child was wandering around the highway looking for his mother and coke nearly let him go because he provided the child with safety. On top of that they expect an overt amount of servitude and exceptional service while not providing employees with the level of pay necessary to reflect that level of work ethic.
July 2021
Enjoyable, motivating and challenging.
Van Driver in Lower Hutt:
Pros: driving and staying safe, help people to and from their destination. Support and achieve positive outcome.
Cons: Communication break-down, ie., when a parent/caregiver has not advise the company if a passenger does not require the van taxi.
August 2020
Schedule changes frequently and loads are not done on time.
Van Driver in Watertown:
Pros: It’s close to home and good insurance
Cons: Lack of communication and feel like our work is being out sourced constantly with no regard to company drivers
June 2020
Van Driver in West Chester:
Pros: I absolutely Love my clients! They are the ONLY reason I've stayed so long. I look forward to seeing them on a regular basis and they depend on me to be there.
Cons: We don't get paid enough for what we do. No tangible incentives (i.e weekly contests pertaining to protocols of our positions,) for example driver's would receive an email with a question concerning safety, what-to-do situations etc... Whomever got it correctly (1st -10th, it just depended,) received a Kroger or Walmart gift card. That was what Driver's used to purchase Lysol or Clorox wipes, Kleenex etc., instead of taking out of our own pockets, which further reduced our income.
Our suggestions for improvement were not taken seriously.
Adding more responsibility for the same pay.
There's more, but I'm too tired to go on.
June 2020
Its complicated 3 days out of the week.
Van Driver in Pittsburgh:
Pros: Transportation to and from work is accessible.
Cons: The separation and divide we have among different cultures of people.
May 2020
All okay no day is the same.
Van Driver in Uxbridge:
Pros: All the same as any other areas.
Cons: I don't think about it I just do my job all areas are the same to me.
