Graduate College, If Not, Advancement Is Limited.
Team Leader, General:
Graduate college, B.S. Degree, best a Masters Degree. I started as a Chemical Plant Operator, promoted to Shift Leader with no college. I was offered the opportunity to test for a Technical Writers job. Writing procedures, training manuals, and instructions for process technology. First, to qualify as a Technical Writer testing is quite difficult. A series of timed test must be aced. Your College Degree is necessary for this very reason.
Fortunately for me, testing went well but I was in the minority. All others had degrees. I was promoted to Editor, then to Team Leader but without my degree I was limited. Recommendations, Mechanical Engineering:), Technology Degrees or Business Consulting, Take Technical Writing classes, just find your quirk. I was Blessed, "Writing and Editing" was my quirk. Please listen, Mechanical Engineers salaries in my field are $187,000.00 annually and more with experience. Hope this helps.

Team Leader
Team Leader, General:
Pros: I enjoy working with the individuals I support in the group home and the community. I enjoy being part of a team of people who work together for the betterment of others.
Cons: I do not like that when I am off work I am still called or text from management to the team. I do not like changes that have down graded my position and authority to support the team. I do not like that the education requirement is a DSW ONLY for full time spots . This leaves other personnel who have related education without hope to become full time. As well they are offered to take an apprenticeship if they do not have the required education.
