How irritated dementia makes ppl.
State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA):
Don't forget ppl cannot help being irritable when they are I'll. Patience & understanding is the key. Find a common interest build on it....Keep daily charts if doing home care. This way if patient I'll while off wk you can check food, fluids, amount of fluids, sugar food, etc.... Charts for the patients home , keeps everyone on the same page. Allows family to keep informed. Take time to acknowledge the patients being, He/She not a job 1st , He/She is a person.

Research places of employment for STNAs. Nursing Homes are all under staffed and causes a lot of stress and patients do not get the care /attention they need /deserve . Staff are worked to death , with little or no compensation .
